IT'S COMING UP - THE YORK SCIENCE FAIR

Don't forget to set aside some time aside to see what the York 8th grade and biology student scientists have been working on this year. The display boards will be set up in the gym and available for viewing:
Monday, Feb 27 from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb 28 from 8:00 am - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 1 from 8:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
AND... if you want to be able to hear from our students firsthand, they will be with their display boards on Monday (from 2-3:30 pm) and Tuesday (from 9:40-10:30 a.m.). Don't miss out - there are some really great projects!

York Presents JAZZ BAND's Spring Concert

March 2 |  6:30 p.m. | Gatanaga Theater
Free Admission

The York Jazz Band presents an evening of music which will highlight swinging rhythms and improvised solos. The group will perform a range of jazz styles from blues to classic compositions by Les McCann, Benny Golson, Joe Zawinul, Nat Adderley, and more. The evening will include a guest vocalist and many other delights.

For the Love of Art

York students swept the awards at the Carmel Art Association's student exhibition, "For the Love of Art." Congratulations to Maddie Gill '23 (1st place, Painting), Maya Gupta-Lemus '23 (2nd place, Painting), Karla Cardenas '23 (3rd place, Painting), Adrianna Brown '23, and Hannah Xu '23! You can see their works on display at the Carmel Art Association Gallery, located on Dolores Street between 5th & 6th Ave in Carmel-by-the-Sea, now through February 28!

Congratulations to the 2023 York Falcons Girls Basketball Team! 

The team had a 12-2 season record, with an 8-0 record in winning the PCAL Arroyo Division, a 3-1 interdivisional record with 2 wins over Santa Catalina and a win over a strong Marina team. 
The team then entered the CCS Playoffs as the 6th ranked team and won their 2nd Round game over Oakwood, before finally falling to 3rd ranked Castilleja in an intense defensive battle in the CCS Quarterfinals. 
What a wonderful ride of a season! Bravo to team members Quincy Key, Asya Wilson, Myra Khieu, Maya Brent-Nurse, Alondra Valdes, May Huang, Ava Hoffmeister, Jocelyn Crook, Aria Asmuth, and to York Coach Bruce Herr. 
A high flying Falcon season to remember for years to come...
